Our Aerospace client needed to model the dispersion of ammonia gas that could possibly result in an ammonia tank release. Dynamic Engineering Design modeled the ammonia gas release using computer software. Exposure distances were calculated based on various volumes of ammonia release. The existing ammonia tanks were relocated on the site as a result of the ammonia gas model.
Relocation of the ammonia tanks resulted in upgrading existing leak detection and safety barriers.
